So we spent the day hanging out arround the house. Claire and I watched the second Harry Potter in German. It was slightly strange, Alan Rickman (Snape) still looked like Alan Rickman, but the voice was totally different. We were watching the credits and I had no idea that Kenneth Branaugh played Lockheart. Well I guess you do learn something new every day.......
Anyway, pardon my straying from the topic.....what was the topic??????? Oh yeah I 'member....... so we went to a restruant in another little village outside of Mosbach. The food was really good, and outside was an airport. The airport was the size of Las Cruses'. Amazing. So I am sorry for the lack of pictures, When I have a little more time I will post some. So provided it is not raining tomorrow we are going to an amusment park, and then on Monday we are going to Berlin. :D :D :D I cannot wait. :D (As you may have guessed. :D)

Last Night
So we ended up not going to the concert because it was raining, so we went to a restruant with other people from Claire's school. We spent perhaps two hours there. The food was really rich and there was a lot of it. We came back to the house at about 11:30, I went to sleep at about 12, and didn't get up until 12:30. I don't normally sleep so long, over 12 hrs. We are spending the day in Mosbach, hanging out with friends and such.

Day in School
So we spent today actually in school. Most people spent all day in class, but Elise, Erin and I had to persent our project about our school. We went to three classes, one in NKG, the school where all our students go, and 2 at LES, another school that is like the came school but seperate at the same time, I don't really get it. The first presentation was not that good, because in the middle of our presentation, the teachers, Niederberger and Goodwin, started presenting our project for us. The last two were good, the teachers were not there so........
ANyway. TOnight we are going to a concert and maybe a party after that. It should be lots of fun, especially listening to new music.

Heidelberg
So today we went to Heidelberg, a really cool historical town. We wondered arround for a little bit, looking at the shops, churches, and the University. After that we went to the Heidelberg Castle, where we climbed up a really steep hill, and then some stairs. NOw I know why the people built their castles on hills, great view and the attackers would have had to attack up a hill. I was out of berath from just walking, and I wasn't carrying that much with me. WHat would the poor midevil people feal like after that? Probally like they wanted to climb down a hole and sleep for a year..... We later found out that there was a train that went to the castle......oops. So we toured the ruins, the French were the ones who destroyed the castle, or at least part of it. The view was amazing from there. We could see the Necker, the river that runs through Heidelberg., and all arround. To get to Heidelberg we went on a boat tour of the Necker. The river had dams in it , so to bypass them we went through locks. We went in one the door closed behind us and the water drained out. It works the other way, with the water filling up the locke. I felt like we should be singing funeral dirges as the boat slowly sank beneath the waves..........
Anyway. On the boat there was a bar that we could buy thing from, beer and wine and harder liquor. THe harder stuff is forbiden untill we are 18 so.... I didn't get anything, but several people did, so I tried some German Beer and French red wine. The beer was O.K. but a little to sweet for my taste. the wine was really, really dry. I didn't like it that much.
When we got back from Heilelberg a group stopped at a cafe to hang out. More people had beer, I stuck with a Latte, it was good. So that was today. Tomorrow we are going to a concert after school.
Oh yeah I almost fergot, after the castle we went shoppong with our partners in Heidelberg. I bought 45 euros worth of clothing. They are really cool. The picture is of the Heidelberg castle. :)
So that is all, until tomorrow.

Die erste Tage
Today was the first day that we are in Germany. We visited the Nikolaus Kaiser Gynamisum, the school over here. It is three floors plus part of a basement. The school is really nice, it has large windows in every classroom and nice labs for the sciences.
After that we took a tour of Mosbach, the old city. (Basically Mesilla to us Las Crucens.) The place was filled with lots of half timbered houses. Thze oldest one is over 600 years old. We climbed to the top of the town hall and saw the city from above. Our guide let us visit a small house, only 24 sq m, that once housed 12 people, kinda strange. en after that we plaies a game where we had to trade things for other things, we all started out with a flower. The winning group was all male, Eric, Nathan, Abraham, and Eugune. What they swapped for in the end was a cherry covered thong......
We went back to the schoolahad a welcoming party. The guys played soccer, shirts and skins.........
Tomorrow we go to Hidelberg for the day. we see a castle and other sites. Will post then, again sorry for the lack of pictures-I promise I will get some later.
Til tomorrow then.

We are here!!!!!!!!!!!
So we have arrived at...Mosbach Germany!!!!!! I made it in one piece, and amazingly enough, I have not fallen asleep despite the fact that I slept only 1 hour in the last 24 hours. (Actually more than that now, that was when we arrived, it's been another 2 or so hours since then.)
THe plane over was ok. Not that boring. The chairs were actually comfortable for the 9-10 hour flight. Amazing....... The entertainment system was new and let you watch movies on demand, as long as you wanted one of their 8 movies. (Mom, Dad next time we fly, lets fly Luftanze. It is really cool.
Germany is amazingly beautiful. Everything is so green here. The only brown is in the houses, and that is decoration. Claire's house is super cool. I have a basement room.
Sorry about the random puncutation marks, I am still figuring out how to type on a German keyboard. They are slightly different.......
I will post more pictures when I get the time to download them and put them on the blog. Sorry about the lack of pictures for now.
untill next time.....

7 days
Only seven days to go until we leave for Germany. I cannot wait. My plane leaves at 6 in the morning, which means leaving the house at 4. Blech. Oh well....it's worth it. Most of the group gets to leave at noon but three of the group get to leave at the ungodly hour of 6, me, being the world traveler that I am, got volunteered for the trip. This weekend I go shopping for the last few items that I need for trip, mainly books and gifts for my host family.
First we go to Berlin. According to Sophia, (Deutsch Sprachen Lehrerin) th
e shopping there is really good. You can find small shops that no one has ever heard of and great bargains in there. I cannot wait.
Then we spend three weeks in Mosbach, and visit various places around Mosbach, including several castles. :D (One of the castles we will visit, or as the Germans say ein Schloss!)
